4th OF JULY OUTFITS

Summer is full of cookouts and outdoor hangouts with friends and family, and the 4th of July holiday is the epitome of summer. If there’s one holiday that is super easy to dress for it is the 4th of July. With the classic color palette of red, white, and blue, there are so many clothing options to wear whether you are going to a party or sitting in a park and watching fireworks. Today I am sharing a few 4th of July outfits that are stylish and affordable.

It is no secret that I am a lover of classic styles and colors, so the Americana color palette is one I have plenty of in my closet. When I think of the holiday I do think of classic clothing to commemorate it, but the great thing about our country is you have the freedom to express yourself however you choose, which means you can dress however you want as well! Now with the vaccine widely available we are able to get together with friends and family this year, so what a great opportunity to dress for the occasion and show your patriotic colors.

If you have a 4th of July party this year that you want to dress up a bit for, I have the perfect dress for you. This red and white gingham midi dress from LOFT has the perfect summery feel. With a smocked back, a light and breezy material and the classic picnic print, you are able to bring summer and the holiday into one. Add touches of blue to this dress to truly make it more Americana by adding a navy of classic navy espadrille wedges and a pair of navy statement earrings. You could also go with a navy hair bow or headband. Add a straw bag for a seasonally appropriate finishing touch!

For a slightly more casual 4th of July event I would personally opt for shorts. My favorite styles of shorts are paperbag shorts with a tie waist, so this navy pair is one of my go-to pairs. Despite having a classic and simple style, its navy color gives a great base to a 4th of July outfit. I paired the shorts with a white top that features ruffled sleeves for a fun detail. To finish off the Americana look, I added a red bow headband and red block heeled sandals. Simple but festive all while being stylish.

I want to share a few other options for the perfect 4th of July outfit. Here are a few dressy options:

Gap, $69.95
Banana Republic Factory, $54.99
Old Navy, $44.99

Here are a few casual options:

No matter what your plans are for the holiday this year, there is an outfit that suits your style and the occasion. I hope you found this post useful, and I hope you were able to find your perfect 4th of July outfit. Until next time!
