The fall season means fall activities, and what screams fall more than a visit to the pumpkin patch? We spent our Sunday afternoon at Trax Farms outside of Pittsburgh, and despite the crowd it was still a fun day. In today’s post, I am sharing a few pictures along with my pumpkin patch outfit.
Typically when you think of fashion for fall and pumpkin patches in general, flannels and plaid are the first thing to come to mind. Since I don’t generally wear casual styles, I went a little more classic with my look. I love a good printed blouse and Target has so many great ones right now. I fell in love with this blouse because I love the pretty dark green base color, and I love the floral print. The color of the floral print is a blush pink and rust color, so it contrasts against the green really well and the overall color scheme is perfect for fall.
Today the weather was in the 60’s so I needed additional coverage to keep me warm. Instead of wearing a cardigan or jacket over the blouse and cover it up, I layered this rust-colored turtleneck underneath. This top is also from Target and is truly the best fall staple. The turtleneck has a fitted silhouette and comes in multiple different colors – it is so versatile and I suggest everyone to get one. Especially because it is only $12.99! I like the classic and even unique look that the turtleneck being layered under the blouse gives. I wore this combination with a pair of dark wash skinny jeans and accessorized the outfit with a pink belt and pink ankle boots.
This outfit is great for weekend wear, but the blouse and turtleneck combination would also be great for more of a dressed-up work look. You can pair the tops with a pair of dress pants or a skirt for a classic business-casual fall look. Add a pair of nude heels or flats and a pair of earrings to finish off the outfit.
