WHITE DENIM IN WINTER

Have you ever heard the expression “you can’t wear white after Labor Day”? I think by now we all should know that this statement is irrelevant today, but I think a lot of people are still uncomfortable doing so. If done right, white bottoms can be pulled off in any season. When paired with sweaters, boots, and outerwear, wearing white denim in winter totally works.

I got these white distressed cropped jeans from Banana Republic Factory two years ago, but I still wear them all the time. They are so versatile in the spring and summer, but I wanted to give them some love before then. I paired the jeans with a blush pink and cream striped sweater from Banana Republic Factory. This sweater is great because it is comfortable and has a semi-fitted silhouette and a medium weight. I purchased this sweater because I knew I could get a lot of use out of it. To winterize the outfit, I layered a gray and white herringbone pea coat on top. Unfortunately, this coat just sold out, but a similar one can be found here.

For accessories, I added a blush pink patent belt that I found at Target and blush pink heeled booties I ordered from Old Navy. These booties are on clearance and have sold out in many sizes, but some sizes are still available. These boots are a fun addition to my wardrobe and are comfortable and easy to walk in. I added a nude Kate Spade bag and tied my hair back with a pink hair bow, because I love bows! Bows are such a fun and feminine accessory and I am always searching for new ones. I plan on wearing this outfit in early spring without the coat for a season-appropriate look. The key to building a solid and versatile wardrobe is buying transitional pieces like these to mix and match with. What are some of your favorite versatile pieces that can be worn in any season? I would love to hear below!
