STYLISHLY CLASSIC

Today’s post is detailing another outfit I wore on my recent trip to California. I wore this outfit in Los Angeles to do some sightseeing as well as walking around Beverly Hills. I will have a travel guide soon about my time in Los Angeles, but for now you will find the outfit details for this stylishly classic look.

When I decided to start my blog 2 months ago, I faced the challenge most new bloggers face: what do I name my blog? It really is difficult because it has to be something that makes sense with your content but is catchy at the same time. I came up with Classic Meets Chic early on in my brainstorming and got stuck on it, because it really does describe my overall style so well. This outfit is a great example of classic meets chic! The outfit features neutral colors and classic elements such as straight-legged striped pants, but the off-the-shoulder sweater gives the outfit the chic flair that I love to incorporate in my looks.

Since this style is what I gravitate to, I shop at Banana Republic and Banana Republic Factory often. Both stores have a great selection, and the deals you can get at Banana Republic Factory are amazing, especially if you are a cardholder. I own a lot of pairs of the Sloan pants, but I switched it up and purchased these blue striped Avery pants from Banana Republic Factory. I liked the classic stripes and I loved the tie-waist detail. I wanted to style these pants with a simple top, and I decided to go with a cream top. When shopping for neutral colors, I always lean towards creams. I scoured the Banana Republic website for something that fit the bill, and I found this off-the-shoulder sweater. This sweater is fairly warm and can be worn in spring, fall, or winter.

To be consistent with the outfit, I went with more classic accessories. For shoes, I wore these nude block-heeled pumps from Target. I love these shoes because of their versatility and they have a low enough heel that made a day of walking possible. Instead of wearing large statement earrings that I usually opt for, I went with these navy and gold hoops from Banana Republic Factory. The earrings had the classic style but also matched the outfit perfectly. To finish, I added my current favorite bag from Banana Republic Factory. As a heads up, you will see this bag featured in a lot of my upcoming posts because I think it is an adorable addition and is perfect for spring.

Does anyone else have a Banana Republic obsession like I do? What are some stores that just represent your style so well? I would love to hear in the comments below!
